Pastoral Team

Philip and Kathy Young

Philip and Kathy Young

Philip and Kathy have been part of the New Life family for over 40 years carrying various roles. They have been on the pastoral team and leading the church since 2006.

Philip continues to run his own window cleaning business alongside his church commitments and Kathy has now retired following her career in the NHS. Both continue to lead the church, run a Pulse group, Kathy the toddler group plus the many other responsibilities that their role requires.

They have 3 grown up children, 2 delightful grandsons and 1 delightful granddaughter. Their strong sense of family is something that they value highly and that is very much at the core of who they are as Pastors.

George and Chiemene Hauptfleische

George and Chiemene Hauptfleisch

George and Chiemene came to Thanet from South Africa in 1993. They left their home country and secure job opportunities to follow the call of God on their lives. They joined New Life soon after arriving and have been there ever since.

Together and individually George and Chiemene serve in the church in teaching, mentoring and prophetic prayer roles alongside the rest of the pastoral team.

They have 3 precious children, 2 daughters studying abroad and 1 son in 6th form in the UK.  They started their own business over 10 years ago in a little village called Minster and continue to see the Lord’s provision and blessing on it.

Their passion is to see Jesus lifted high so all can be drawn unto Him, and for the Presence of God to invade the Isle of Thanet.

Eddie and Heather Rowlands

Eddie and Heather Rowlands

Eddie and Heather came to Margate in 1979 following 24 years as missionaries in DR Congo with CAM International. This included a temporary move to Zambia in 1960 due to political unrest in Congo. God has blessed and honored their service in the development and growth of the church.

Their children are all serving the Lord in various ways, and they have six lovely grandchildren. They have experienced God’s faithfulness through both joys and sorrows. They are now ‘retired’ but still involved in active ministry, both at New Life and Congo Mission life. Their combined ministries affirm that ‘The joy of the Lord is their strength’.
